Jean was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bridge, and any board or card game that challenged one's mind. In her eighties, she mastered her laptop computer and the internet! Jean particularly enjoyed the young people who visited her at their home on Folly Beach. She always had as she called it, "A Sursie" (usually candy or cookies) for them, hidden away in a drawer or nearby cabinet.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, 1853 Maybank Highway, James Island, SC. 29412.
