Jean B. Belue

Jean B. Belue, 91, of Johns Island, South Carolina, wife of the late Walter Belue, entered into eternal rest Sunday, November 26, 2023. Her memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.
 
Jean was born March 2, 1932 in Landrum, South Carolina, daughter of the late Willaim M. Barnett and Natlie Orr. She was a very accomplished artist, she dabbled in gem cutting and stained glass. She taught Sunday school for many years and was always helping the church in any way that she could. She loved to travel and many of her paintings were inspired by those ventures. She exhibited in numerous galleries and was a member of the Artist Guild.
 
She is survived by daughter, Kathy Ann Hovanec of Johns Island, SC; brother, Nathaniel Barnett of Brevard, NC; grandchild, Allie Hovanec; great-grandson, Isaac Hovanec.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Belue; brother, Carl Barnett; daughter, Judy C Smalser.
