Jean Nimitz Behling /W -PHOTOJean Nimitz Behling, 80, of Charleston, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017, wife of James A. Behling. She is survived by her two daughters, Ginny Behling White and Terri McPherson and William "Boogie" McPherson; Three grandchildren, Courtney White Trevino and her husband Michael Trevino, Robbie White, Stephanie McPherson, along with two great-grandchildren, Carter and Maelyn Trevino all of Charleston; two sisters, Eunice Beneke of CA, and Janet Nye of Charleston, SC.
Jean graduated from Chicora High School in 1955, she was a retired Customer Service in Banking Business. Jean was active in the church and Tea Room at Old St. Andrews Church. She also had a love and passion for her sewing skills. Jean was Mrs. Charleston in February of 1967 and Mrs. South Carolina in April 3, 1967, which she loved representing Charleston and South Carolina.
The family would like you to join them for Family and Friends gathering Monday, October 2, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Her Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Old St. Andrews Church, 2604 Ashley River Road at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow in the Church Hall.
