Jason Alexander Santanna, 72, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Mary Staerk Santanna entered into eternal rest Friday, May 3, 2019. A Gathering of friends will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Jason was born June 16, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York, but raised in California. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, a longtime business owner and avid traveler who loved spending time in the mountains.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary S. Santanna; daughter, Julia S. Washington (Michael); son, Nicholas Santanna (Nicole) and grandson, Maddox Alexander Santanna all of Charleston, SC; sisters-in-law, Deborah Middlebrook (John) of NJ and Patricia Craig (Joe) of PA; extended family and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Nina.
