Jarrett Lazar Obstbaum, 42, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, September 14, 2018. His memorial service will be held Thursday, September 20, 2018 in Chabad of Charleston, 477 Mathis Ferry Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464 at 3:45 p.m. Burial will be private. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Jarrett was born October 29, 1975 in Charleston, South Carolina. He was a member of the VFW and served in the Second Tank Battalion, Second Marine Division in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina as a Navy Corpsman. Jarrett completed his naval career at the Charleston Naval Hospital where he was respected for his bedside manner and sense of humor.
He is survived by his mother, Judy Kay Goldberg of Charleston; daughter, Grace Elizabeth Obstbaum; son, Noah Samuel Obstbaum; and their mother, Christina Feller Obstbaum, all of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters: Kimberly Kraft (Michael) of Tampa, Florida and Jordane Perkins (Michael) of Boston, Massachusetts. He will be sadly missed by his extended family of aunts and uncles, close cousins, and many dear friends.
Jarrett was predeceased by his loving grandparents, Sonny and Shirley Goldberg.
