Janice Brodie Tharp, 90, of Hollywood, South Carolina, widow of George W. Tharp, Jr., entered into eternal rest Thursday, July 6, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Janice was born March 27, 1927 in Orangeburg, SC, daughter of the late Dell Brodie and Eloise Livingston Brodie. She was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Steve B. Tharp and his wife Tammy West Tharp, and two grandchildren, Brodie Tharp and Nicole Burnett. She was predeceased by her son, Billy Dell Tharp, and sister, Betty Blayton.
