Janice Faye Petit, 61, of Huger, South Carolina, wife of Richard Alfred Petit, Sr. died Sunday, April 3, 2016. Services will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.
Janice was born April 30, 1954 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late James Butler Harrison and the late Barbara Eloise Paul Harrison. She was a retired Scan Coordinator Specialist with Bi Lo.
She is survived by her husband, Richard "Dicky" Petit, Sr., of Mt. Pleasant, SC; daughter, Jina Petit and her husband Jonathan Guay of Elgin, SC; son, Richard Alfred Petit, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, SC; five sisters, Joan Craven (Steven) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Cindy Ackerman (Rev. Wayne) of Adams Run, SC, Gail Daley of Columbia, SC Debbie Wiggins (Kenny) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Linda Hornsby (Eddie) of Easley, SC; six brothers, James "Jimmy" Harrison of Charleston, SC, Michael Harrison of Lawton, VA, Jerry Harrison of Lancaster, SC, Ronnie Harrison (Melissa) of Summerville, SC, Larry Harrison of Mt. Pleasant, SC, David Harrison (Jeanne) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and her best friend, Brenda Mitchum of McClellanville, SC. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Thomas Emile Harrison, sister Brenda Harrison and sister-in-law, Vickie Harrison.
