Janet Felicia Garris Meacher, 89, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Allan Edward Meacher entered into eternal rest Sunday, June 3, 2018. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2018 in St. Mark United Methodist Church, 413 Geddes Avenue at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Janet was born March 25, 1929 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Edward Thomas Garris and Monica Grooms Garris. She was a graduate of St. Francis Xavier Hospital and retired registered nurse. Janet was a charter member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her two sons, Colonel David E. Meacher, M.D. (Wendy) of Charleston, SC; Thomas Allan Meacher of North Charleston, SC; daughter, Karen M. Muckenfuss of Charleston, SC; four grandchildren, Dawn M. Davis (Brian), Ashley M. Snider (Travis) Caroline Burney M. Price (John) and Thomas Allan Meacher, Jr.; and six great -grandchildren, John Thomas Price, Landon Davis, Tyler Davis, Caroline "CeeCee" Price, Zane Price, Scarlett Snider. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Rembert Garris and Elmore "Elmo" Garris.
