Janet Marjorie Ulrich Ely

Janet Marjorie Ulrich Ely, 94, beloved wife of Paul Otis Ely of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2012. The relatives and friends of Janet Ely are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in Christ Our King Catholic Church at 10:30 am. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will follow at Mepkin Abbey Columbarium at 3:00 pm. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Janet was born on June 25, 1918 in Buffalo, New York, daughter of the late Stephen Matthew Ulrich and Adele Ruth Creenan Ulrich. She was a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church and was a member of Knights of Columbus Auxiliary in Homosassa, FL. She was also a member of the Altar Rosary Society and Newcomers Club in Eden, NY.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Paul Otis Ely of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two daughters, Gail Masocco and her husband, Dominick, of Summerville, SC and Karen Delcioppo (Carmen) of Daniel Island, SC; grandchildren, Alicia Masocco-Steele, Julianne Masocco, Matthew Masocco, Michael Delcioppo, Paul Delcioppo, Steven Delcioppo, Marie Delcioppo, LaChandra Leggett, and Ryan Ely; ten great grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, Christine Ely of Hamburg, NY. Janet was preceded in death by her son, John Neuman Ely, as well as her sister, Dorothy Streit.
