Jane Stroman Miller Vereen

Jane Stroman Miller Vereen, widow of E.P. Vereen, of Goose Creek, SC, entered into eternal rest September 5, 2013. Her graveside service will be held Monday, September 9, 2013 in Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Avenue at 10:00 am. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, NORTH AREA CHAPEL, 2119 Dorchester Road, Charleston SC.

Jane was born October 30, 1942, in Wilmington, NC, daughter of the late Charles Stroman Miller and the late Cleland Burrell Miller. She was a homemaker and loved cooking wonderful meals for her family and friends on holidays. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas because she loved to give to others. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Bacote of Goose Creek, SC; son, John P. (Sheryl) Vereen of Charleston, SC; step daughter, Evelyn (Bill) Owens of Summerville, SC; seven grandchildren, J. Porter Vereen, Tiffany Vereen, Bobbie L. Bacote, Brooke Bacote, Clarissa Gordon, Jason Connolly, Travis Connolly; brother, John T. (Nancy) Miller of Williston, SC, nieces & nephews and a large extended family. Jane was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years; they dearly loved each other.
