Jane "Mimi" E. Pierce, 64, of North Charleston, SC, wife of William Joseph Pierce died Saturday, January 28, 2017. Her funeral service will be held Thursday, February 2, 2017 in the Old Fort Baptist Church, 10505 Dorchester Road at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in White Church Cemetery, Ravenel, SC. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Old Fort Baptist Church. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.
She was born September 18, 1952 in Florence, SC, the only child of the late Houston Elwood Hicks and the late Lila Mae Lee Hicks. Mimi was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was most important to her; they spent time together sharing Sunday dinners, traveling, cheering on her granddaughter, Macy and dancers at United We Dance events and her grandchildren, Keirstin and Caleb, playing ball. She enjoyed listening to her grandson, Chole, play the piano and was proud of Toby's hunting and fishing activities. She enjoyed music and dancing. Mimi had a warm, entertaining personality and was a friend to all she met. She was a member of Old Fort Baptist Church.
Mimi will be deeply missed by her husband of 44 years, William Joseph Pierce of North Charleston, SC; daughter, Kimberly "Kim" Willis and her husband Bryan of Ravenel, SC; son, William Joseph "Joe" Pierce, Jr. and his wife, Amy of Charleston, SC; six grandchildren: Toby Willis, Macy Willis, Chole Pierce, Keirstin Pierce, Caleb Pierce, Phoenix Cramer Pierce; and many friends.
