It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jane Eve Marino (née Jaskula), a beloved wife, mother, and teacher who lived a life marked by love, compassion, and selflessness.
Jane was born on November 6, 1951, and passed away on October 26, 2023, at the age of 71. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 1950 Darrell Creek Trail, Mt. Pleasant, SC at 10:00am. Interment will be at Mepkin Abbey, 1098 Mepkin Abbey Rd, Moncks Corner, SC at 1:30pm . Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mt. Pleasant Chapel.
Jane was married for nearly 50 years to her beloved husband, John Trezza Marino, who preceded her in passing earlier this year in March. Their enduring love and companionship serve as an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to witness it.
As a mother, Jane was the epitome of patience and compassion. She was the strongest woman we knew, never uttering a word of complaint, always placing the needs of her family and loved ones above her own. She was a true saint on Earth, dutifully tending to the eccentricities of the Marino clan and doing anything within her power to ensure their happiness.
Jane had a deep and abiding love for art and beautiful things. Her passion for gardening and creating exquisite floral arrangements brought joy to those around her.
Jane dedicated many years of her life to the noble profession of teaching shepherding countless children through their formative years.
Jane's memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love have left an indelible mark on our hearts.
As we bid farewell to Jane, we find solace in the knowledge that her spirit lives on in the beauty of the gardens she tended, the lessons she imparted, and the love she shared. She has now reunited with her beloved husband, John, in eternal peace.
Jane is survived by her sister, Susan Mary Gannon, sons, Mark Marino (Nina),Peter Marino (Bryan); and granddaughters, Josie and Abby; cousins; nieces and nephews; and many close in-laws. Jane was predeceased by her parents William and Sophie and her husband John.
Memorials may be made to the lung transplant unit at the MUSC Foundation 18 Bee Street MSC 450, Charleston, SC 29425.
