Jane Freeman Lister

Jane Freeman Lister, 65, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, wife of Glenn Lister entered into eternal rest Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 at East Cooper Baptist Church, 361 Egypt Road at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday at East Cooper Baptist Church from 1:00 pm until time of service. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road. Mt. Pleasant.

Jane was born October 20, 1949 in West Palm Beach, Florida, daughter of the late John C. Freeman and Bonnie Harbin Freeman. She received her bachelor degree from Winthrop College in 1971 and worked as an elementary school teacher while following Glenn's military career. She was the office manager of Lister Law Office. Jane was a devoted Christian, member of East Cooper Baptist Church, and formerly a parachurch ministry leader and women's mentor.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be deeply missed by her husband, Glenn Lister of Mt. Pleasant, SC, two sons, Rob Lister (LuWinn) of La Mirada, CA and Ryan Lister (Chase) of Portland, OR and two sons who adopted them, Stephen Watson (Darci) of Anderson, SC and Jason Cook (Lorann) of James Island, SC; fifteen grandchildren; sister, Jean F. Burroughs of North Hollywood, CA, brother, John M. Freeman (Julie) of Atlanta, GA, sister, Jane F. Wright (Sydney) of Conch, AZ, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Joan F. Glover.
