Janada S. Mizzell, 88, of Yonges Island, SC, wife of Carl H. Mizzell went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 25, 2014. Her Funeral Service will be held Sunday, September 28, 2014 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 3:00 pm.
Interment will follow in Christ-St. Paul's Cemetery, 5034 Chapel Road, Yonges Island. The family will receive friends in Stuhr's Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 2:00 pm until the time of service.
Janada was born December 20, 1925 and raised in Yonges Island, SC, daughter of the late Charles Iler Smith and Elizabeth Tumbleston Smith. Janada graduated from St. Paul's High School class of 1942 and was a life long member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved and cherished her children and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her spouse, Carl H. Mizzell, two daughters, Linda (Jay) Baldwin, Judy (Jay) Johnson; three grandchildren, Bryan (Eralyn) Johnson, Elizabeth (Dustin)Taylor, Abby Baldwin; one great-grandchild, Izabella Johnson; three step-children, Chris, Conrad and Carlotta; five step-grandchildren, Jessica, Chris,Chase, David and Erica; four step-great-grandchildren, Alex, Rebecca, Cameron and Caleb. All of whom loved her very much.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Bernie, David and Kendra with Hospice of SC, and the entire staff at Dayspring Assisted Living for their special care and kindness to Janada and support of her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ-St. Paul's Episcopal Parrish Cemetery Fund, 4981 Chapel Road, Hollywood, SC 29449.
