James William Whelan

James William Whelan, 95, widower of Florence L. Whelan, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2011. ARRANGEMENTS BY J.HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.  All services will be held at a later date. Mr. Whelan was born September 27, 1915 in Long Island, NY, son of the late James A. Whelan and Mary Whelan. He was retired from IBM where he served in the Quality Control Department.  He was a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church, and attended the Servants of Jesus Prayer Group at Stella Maris Catholic Church.

He is survived by his children: Patricia Fitzgerald of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Jim Whelan of Slingersland, NY, and 16 grandchildren.
