James "Jimmie" William Walsh, III

James "Jimmie" William Walsh, III

James "Jimmie" William Walsh, III, 80, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of the late Carol Ostendorff Walsh, entered into eternal rest Sunday, November 10, 2024. His Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 14, 2024 in the Charleston Rifle Club, 2221 Heriot Street from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel.

He was born August 16, 1944 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late James William Walsh, Jr. and Mary Helen Hutto Walsh. Jimmie will be remembered as an extraordinary husband, father, and tireless servant to his family, community, and country. 

He is survived by two daughters, Kimberly (David) Root, Elizabeth (Jeff) Hill; grandchildren, Kathryn (Corey) Holbrooks, Maddie (Bryan) Jayne, Elle (Zach) Dillon, Elizabeth Root, David Root, II, Tyler (Emma) Hill, Jaime Hill; great-grandchildren, Valerie, Billie, Margo, Eli; and sisters, Brenda Moore, and Debbie Schneider. 

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Timmy Walsh, Terry Walsh; and nephew, Marc Walsh.
