James Harvey Truesdale

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of December 29, 2010, James Harvey Truesdale, widower of Lillian Shirley Truesdale.  Residence, North Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service Monday, January 3, 2011 at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, at 11:30 am.  Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Sunday afternoon from 2 until 4 pm. 

Mr. Truesdale was born June 29, 1920 in Westville, South Carolina, son of the late Remard Harvey Truesdale and the late Mary Rebecca Gaskin Truesdale.  He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps, Company 445 from 1938 until 1940 and was retired from Garco Manufacturing as a HVAC Supervisor.  Mr. Truesdale was a member of Cooper River Baptist Church and was also a member of the North Charleston Senior Citizens Coffee Club.

He is survived by a son, James T. Truesdale and his wife Ann of Meggett, SC; and a sister, Evelyn Holden of Westville, SC.  Mr. Truesdale was predeceased by his sisters, Ethel Ellis, Irene Truesdale, Nan T. Wheeler and  brothers, Rembert, Colon, John, AC and Clyde Truesdale.

Memorials may be made to a Charity of One's Choice.
