James "Larry" Lawrence Thomas, 63, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Paula Thomas entered into eternal rest Saturday, August 17, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Charleston Baptist Church, 13 San Miguel Road, at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.

Larry was born July 25, 1950 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Harold Wesley Thomas and Delores Cochran Thomas. He retired December 20, 2012 after working for the City of Charleston for 39 years. He was a member of Charleston Baptist Church.

He is survived by his mother and his wife; his two brothers: Francis Joseph Thomas of Columbia, SC and John Harold Thomas and his wife, Linda, of Jacksonville, FL; his step daughter, Karen Evonne Sipps and her husband, Gary, of Madison, AL; and two step grandchildren: Nathan Duane Sipps and Annabelle Grace Sipps.
