James "Mark" Markley Riddle of James Island, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, May 25, 2018. His Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in Calvary Lutheran Church, 1400 Manor Boulevard, Charleston, SC at 1:30 p.m., with a reception to follow in James Island Christian Church, 12 Sawgrass Road, Charleston, SC. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.
Mark was a Christmas gift born December 26, 2001 in Charleston, South Carolina, celebrated by Bryan E. Riddle and Mary Sullivan Riddle. He was a delightful baby brother to Elizabeth Ashe Riddle and a ray of sunshine to all. Everyone lucky enough to have known him agrees. Mark was a treasured child, beloved son, best friend to his sister, and the most loyal of friends. Mark never met an animal he did not love, but he particularly cherished and adored his dogs Teddy, Juno and Diesel with all his heart. He loved music and art, the outdoors especially camping in the mountains, birds, skateboarding, and his family. His quick wit, good humor, and beautiful smile made all that knew him love him. He was fearless and passionate in life. Without him, the world suffers. Those he left behind will never forget Mark and will carry his memory in our hearts until we are reunited again.
He is survived by so many relatives related by blood and by marriage, as well as many friends who loved Mark for the dear boy he was and the man he might have become. His young life will be mourned deeply. The family prays that the community mourning with us will help us to find comfort and bring forth new life for others who have lost their way.
