James Larry Potter, 76, of Charleston, South Carolina, widower of Judith Miller Potter entered into eternal rest Monday, February 24, 2020. The family will receive friends in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 8:30 a.m to 9:30 a.m. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 28, 2020 at the Graveside in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road at 10:00 a.m.
James was born October 16, 1943 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Annie Smith Potter Campbell and the late James Valton Potter. He was a retired Charleston Naval Shipyard general foreman- boiler maker department. He was a member of Cherokee United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Annie Potter Campbell of Charlotte, NC; two sons, Troy Potter and his wife Tamra and Tim Potter and his wife Tami all of Charleston, SC; six grandchildren, Ryan Villanueva, Tristan Potter, Rowan Potter, Jake McKeown, Julia Potter, Reagan Potter and Sharon Coyle; three sisters, LaBruce, Hattie, Elaine and a brother, Robert Potter.
