James C. Piscitelli

James C. Piscitelli, 61, husband of Eileen Karen Hayes Piscitelli of Summerville, SC passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2011.


The relatives and friends of James Piscitelli are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 in Christ Our King Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Burial will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.


James was born on May 15, 1950 in Seneca Falls, New York, son of the late Michael Joseph Piscitelli and Emily Louise Mark Piscitelli.  He received his master's degree from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York and was one course away from his PhD. He worked as a school superintendent in three different school districts including Romulus, Portville, and Oneonta, NY.  James enjoyed international travel with his wife and playing golf. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.


 He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Eileen K. Piscitelli of Summerville, SC; two sons, Heath Piscitelli and his wife Lisa, of Coral Springs, FL and Travis Piscitelli and his wife, Kelley, of Summerville, SC; one brother, Mark Piscitelli and his wife, Ginny, of Baldwinsville, NY; one brother-in-law, William Freijie of Whitney Point, NY; four grandsons, Nicholas, Ryan, Lucas and Landen; four nieces, Jennifer, Jessica, Linda and Joanne; and three nephews, Michael, Chris and Peter. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary. 


In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Hospice of Charleston Foundation, 676 Wando Park Blvd., Mt. Pleasant, SC  29464, or Catskill Hospice, 1 Birchwood Drive, Oneonta, NY 13820 or Romulus Foundation, 5705 Main Street, Romulus, NY  14541.
