James Robert Nesmith (Bubba), 70, of Mount Pleasant, husband of Linda Byrd Nesmith died Friday, December 13, 2013. His Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in the J. HENRY STUHR, MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 am.

James was born April 23, 1943 in Varnville, South Carolina, son of the late James Nesmith, Jr. and Pauline Owens Nesmith. He was a retired commercial property owner with a love of gardening and sharing of the fruits of his labor with others. He had a love of tinkering in his garage and putting his mechanical abilities to use in doing for family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Linda; his sons, Ron Roberts of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Scott Roberts of Eutis, FL, Andy Nesmith of Greenville, SC, and Steven Roberts and his wife Kim of Eutis, FL; his daughters, Becky Britt and her husband Roy of Greenville, SC, and Tina Johnson and her husband Johnny of Mt. Pleasant, SC; sister, Helen Brossy of Hollywood, SC; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Adams, and brothers, William D. Green and Jerry Nesmith.
