James Lowell Mast

James Lowell Mast, 74, husband of Evelyn Teague Mast of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on Monday, October 25, 2010.  The relatives and friends of James Mast are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Friday, October 29, 2010 in J HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at 3:00 p.m.  Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. James was born May 19, 1936 in Boone, North Carolina, son of the late Hoy Mast and Elizabeth Anderson Mast.  He served in the United States Army and the United States Navy, a veteran of the Cuban Missile Crisis.  He was a truck driver and attended Wando Pentecostal Holiness Church. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Mast of Mt. Pleasant, SC; children, Randy Mast of Asheville, NC, Sharon Torlay and her husband, Danny, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Tim Mast and his wife, Karen, of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Karen Bostic and her husband, Thomas, of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Tamara Trainor, Lauren Torlay-Kursh, Amanda Mast, Brittany Mast, Allison Mast, Ansley Mast, Meaghan Bostic, Kerrigan Bostic, Addison Bostic,  Brendyl Bostic, Onyx Mast and Jade Mast; great grandchildren, Amy Trainor and Kenslee Mast; sister, Jean Vines and her husband, Pete, of Marion, VA; brothers, Bobby Mast and his wife, Violet, of  Northeast, MD and Jackie Mast and his wife, Marie, of Sugar Grove, NC; sister-in-law, Diane Anderson of Niceville, FL; several nieces and nephews and his loving dog, Phoebe.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Anderson. The family requests that memorials be made to the Hospice of Charleston Foundation, 676 Wando Park Blvd., Mt.
