James Lewis Langston

James Lewis Langston, Sr., 77, of Charleston, South Carolina, widower of Anne Strange Langston, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, December 3, 2013. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2013 in J. Henry Stuhr Downtown Chapel, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.

James was born March 29, 1936, in Birmingham, Alabama, son of Hubert Wright Langston, Sr. and Lena Mae Teal Langston. He was retired as a Manager in the Heavy Lift Crane Maintenance Department at the South Carolina State Ports Authority. James was a Mason and a member of the Charleston Rifle Club, Scottish Rite and Omar Shrine Temple.

He is survived by his son James L. (Beth) Langston, Jr. of Mount Pleasant, SC, two granddaughters, Tiffany Langston Midkiff and Meredith Truluck Hedges; two brothers, Donald C. Langston from Midfield, AL and Hubert W. Langston from Tecumseh, OK; and a number of nieces and nephews.
