James "Jim" Ray Ouzts, 78, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, widower of Elizabeth Ann Duggan Ouzts entered into eternal rest Sunday, March 6, 2016. His funeral service will be held cryptside in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Jim was born December 5, 1937 in Newberry, South Carolina, son of the late James M. Ouzts and Frances Wilson Ouzts. He was a retired MSgt with the U.S. Air Force. Following retirement, he operated Atlantic Screen Company. Jim was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his sons: Thomas Ouzts (Ruth) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Richard Ouzts (Merry) of Greenwood, SC; sisters: June Harrell (Francis) of Charleston, SC and Doris Gimbruch (Larry) of Leesville, SC; brothers: Richard Ouzts (Kathi)of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Steve Ouzts (Margaret)of Newburyport, MA; granddaughters: Nicole Ouzts of Greenville, SC and Marie Ouzts of Columbia, SC; and special friend, Shirley Jeffries.
