MNCM James Paul Hutson, USN Ret., 76, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Kyoko Hutson entered into eternal rest Tuesday, May 17, 2022.  His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 24 at 10:30 am in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azalea Drive, North Charleston.

James was born July 11, 1945 in New Orleans, LA, son of the late Austin Denver Hutson and Mary Jim Sutton. He faithfully served his country for 24 years in the United States Navy as a Mine Warfare Specialist during Vietnam era and the Cold War obtaining the rank of Master Chief. Following his military service, he worked at Trident Technical College beginning in 1995 and retired from the workforce in 2008.  In retirement he and his wife Kyoko enjoyed fishing the local waters of Charleston, SC.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, and one son, Jonathan Hutson of Mt. Pleasant, SC.
