James (Jimmy) Thomas Howe, 66, of Summerville, South Carolina entered into eternal rest Monday, August 18, 2014. His graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2014 in Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azalea Drive at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.
James was born May 30, 1948 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Osgood Madison Howe Jr. and Reba Dixon Howe. He was an active member of many bowling leagues in Charleston and had a true passion for the game of bowling. In addition to his league involvement, he was a former Brunswick Mechanic at Ashley Bowling Lanes.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters; Jeaney Kolanko (Ron) of Murphy, NC; Johnny Howe (Brenda) of Columbia, SC, Gerri White of Rincon, GA; Peggy Smith of Bluffton, SC; Ricky Howe (Kathy) of North Charleston, SC, Randy Howe (Jennifer) of Mount Pleasant, SC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Sumter County Disabilities and Special Needs Board, P.O. Box 2847, Sumter SC 29151 and/or a charity of ones choice.
