James Carroll Harper, 67, of Ladson, SC, died Monday, June 23, 2014. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2014 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, at 10:00 am. Interment, Plantation Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

James was born November 17, 1946 in Mullins, SC, son of the late James Lamar Harper and Carrie Turner Harper. He was an Army veteran, owner and Broker in Charge of Harper Realty.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Housand Harper of Ladson, SC; mother, Carrie Turner Harper of North Charleston, SC; daughter, Crystal H. (John) Absher of Ladson, SC; two sons, Michael (Amanda) Harper of Cumming, GA and Jonathan (Christiana) Harper of Ladson, SC; brother, Henry (Kay) Harper of Goose Creek, SC; six grandchildren: James, Natalie, Ryan, Kyle, Nathan and Brandon. He was preceded in death by his father; granddaughter, Brooke Anne; brothers: Joe, Billy, and Clay.
