James Madison Hardee, Jr., 87, of Ladson, South Carolina, widower of Agnes K. Hardee entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 21, 2018. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 25, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. His Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 26, 2018 in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.
Jim was born September 1, 1931 in Whiteville, North Carolina, son of the late James Madison Hardee, Sr. and Flora Harrellson Hardee. He was a retired superintendent with the City of Charleston. Jim was a member of the Lowcountry Ford Model "A" Club and enjoyed working on cars. He was a former Shriner. He was also a member of Coastal Shores Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Liz Young Kraft (Rick) of Ladson, SC; three sons, James Earl Hardee (Mary) of Goose Creek, SC; Randy Hardee of Moncks Corner, SC and Donald R. Hardee (Patricia) of Ladson, SC; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
