James Arthur Graham

Reverend James Arthur Graham, 90, husband of Eloise Pate Graham of Isle of Palms, SC passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012. The relatives and friends of Reverend Arthur Graham are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Sunday, July 8, 2012 in the First United Methodist Church on the Isle of Palms at 3:00 pm. Entombment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL on Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.

Rev. Graham was born on June 7, 1922 in Conway, South Carolina, son of the late Huey Bryant Graham and Laura Jones Graham. He received his Masters of Divinity from Emory University, was a former member of the Kiwanis Club and Rotary. He served 42 years in the ministry. He was an Elder of the SC Conference of the United Methodist Church.

His love and passion for his fellow man and devotion to family were the driving forces in his life. His love of and dedication to the ministry and his service to God were rewarded with the affection and respect of his parishioners.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eloise Graham of Isle of Palms, SC; children: Elaine G. Misskelley of Charleston, SC, J. Arthur Graham, Jr. and his wife Lisa, of Charlotte, NC; Kenneth Graham and Stephen DellaLana of Charleston, SC and Denise Graham of Greenville, SC;.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to friend and caregiver Rebecca Izzard of Mt. Pleasant, SC.
