James Ronald Gossett

James "Ron" Ronald Gossett, 71, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Margaret Mercer Gossett entered into eternal rest Thursday, August 15, 2019. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 22, 2019 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. where an Elks Lodge Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 23, 2019 in Old St. Andrews Parish Church, 2604 Ashley River Road at 2:00 p.m. with entombment following in the cemetery.

Ron was born September 23, 1947 in Monroe, North Carolina, son of the late Harry Gaston Gossett and Iva Sistare Gossett. He attended Western Carolina University and was an Army National Guard of North Carolina Veteran. Ron was a member of the Charleston Elks Lodge and a member of Old St. Andrews Parish Church.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Gossett of Charleston, SC; three step-children, John Komlosy (Leslee) of San Diego, CA, Elizabeth Marshall (Blake) of Matthews, NC, and Stacey Cooke (Kip) of Johns Island, SC; brother, Harry Gossett of St. Joseph, MI; sister, Lynda Keziah of Monroe, NC; eight grandchildren, Carson Williams, Jeffrey Williams, Anthony Komlosy, Michael Komlosy, Kip Cooke, Jr., Kaitlyn Cooke, Peggy Marshall, George Marshall; four nephews, Lance, Lane, Robert, James, and niece, Star.
