James Carl Givens

James Carl Givens, 92, of North Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, October 4, 2024. His Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2024, in Holy Cross Cemetery at 1PM. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

James was born March 5, 1932 in Rutherford County, North Carolina, son of the late Baxter Carlise Givens and the late Daisy Justice Givens. He was a Supervisor/Plant Manager. 

He is survived by two daughters, Denise Fox (Olin) of Charleston, SC, and Carlen G Abernethy (Ken) of Charleston, SC; grandson, James (Krista) Etchinson; three great-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Fannie; grandchild, David Lee Etchison; father, Baxter Carlise Givens; and mother, Daisy Givens.
