James Ulric Friend IV, 51, of James Island, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, February 11, 2022. His graveside service will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends prior to the service in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.

Jim was born October 18, 1970 in James Island, South Carolina, a son of the late James Ulric Friend III and the late Sandra Britts. Jim grew up on James Island surfing, fishing, hunting, and skateboarding. Jim was a naturally gifted artist doing drawings and paintings too. He will be truly missed.

He is survived by his sisters, Leslie A. Bales of Summerville, SC and Patricia C. Friend of CA; his grandmother, Anna R. Utsey of Charleston, SC; his niece, Tiffany Titus (Jeff); his nephews, Wyman Bales and Zackery Bales; two grand nephews; and one grand niece.
