James "Jim" Douglas Farish, 79, of North Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Derenda  Farish entered into eternal rest Wednesday, October 4, 2023. His Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 in Old Fort Baptist Church, 10505 Dorchester Road, Summerville, SC 29485 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.

Jim was born July 8, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland, son of the late Francis Farish and Pearl Stanley Farish. He retired from the grocery business after serving 50 years. Jim loved his Florida State Seminoles and his beloved pugs, Lula and Ocee. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, basketball, and spending time in his yard. He was a member of Old Fort Baptist Church where he enjoyed serving in many capacities.

He is survived by his loving wife, Derenda of 43 years; three daughters, Audra Farish-Wood (Brian) of Tampa, FL, Melissa Farish of Charleston, SC, Heather Farish Charleston, SC; granddaughter, Caitlin Farish-Wood; sister, Betty Farish Kennedy of Merritt Island, FL; sister-in-law, Debbie Farish of Pensacola, Fl; and numerous nieces and nephews.
