James Willard Dupree, 89, of Summerville, the widower of Ruth McDonald Dupree, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, in a local hospital.

Born March 4, 1922 in Bonneau, SC; he was a son of the late John M. Dupree and Ethel Lee Caddell Dupree.

Mr. Dupree was a salesman for Pelican Building Material Company.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Brenda Myers.

Mr. Dupree is survived by his two daughters: Carolyn Davis and Dee Dee Boseman both of Goose Creek.
