James Dorsey Driver

James Dorsey Driver, 83, of North Charleston, SC, died Thursday, January 18, 2018. His funeral service will be held Monday, January 22, 2018 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends Monday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018, in Magnolia Park Cemetery, Warner Robins, GA at 11am.

Jim was born February 8, 1934 in Telfair County, GA, one of five children of the late James Walter Driver and the late Leila Cadwell Driver. He was a US Marine Corps veteran and retired as a computer operator from the Charleston Naval Supply Center. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, shrimping, drawing, and oil painting.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Jannis B. Driver; son, Jonathan Driver (Lisa) of Goose Creek, SC, daughter, Jolynne Driver of North Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Andrew and Talitha; sister, Naomi Johnson of Centerville, GA and brother, Don Driver of Elk Creek, MO.
