James Roland Dennis, III, of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest on afternoon of May 15, 2012. All services will be private.
Mr. Dennis was born October 5, 1944 in Florence, SC, the son of James R. Dennis, Jr. and Willie Mae Hewitt Dennis Painter. He served in the United States Air Force during Viet Nam. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard.
He is survived by one daughter: Jennifer L. Dennis of Charleston, SC; one son: Chad R. Dennis of Charleston, SC; two sisters: Sarah D. Ford (Al) of Alexandria, VA and Marilyn D. Sexton of Charleston, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association of SC, 409 King Street, Suite 300, Charleston, SC 29403.
