James Allen "Doc" Cumbee

James Allen (Doc) Cumbee, 64, of McClellanville, South Carolina, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018. His Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 4:00 p.m. There will be a Gathering of Friends in Stuhr's Mount Pleasant Chapel one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be private for immediate family only.

Doc was born July 6, 1954 in Georgetown, South Carolina, son of the late Cleatworth Lawton Cumbee, Jr. and Estelle Page Cumbee.

He was a carpenter by trade. If you knew Doc well, you knew how particular he was when it came to his work. Doc loved playing his harmonica and drinking his Bush Beer, hanging out with his friends and family. He loved helping his mom with her flowers and keeping her yard pretty.

He is survived by his siblings Bobby Cumbee, C.L. Cumbee III, Ronnie Cumbee, Darrell Cumbee, Annette C. Russ, Donna C. Player, and Lisa C. Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
