James Ressie Carter, Jr., 79, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016. His Graveside Service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington, NC at 1:00 pm. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

James was born August 14, 1936 in Johnston County, North Carolina, son of the late James Ressie Carter Sr. and the late Ina Garner Carter.

He is survived by sister, Helen Carter Goss and her husband, James, of Mount Pleasant, SC; two nephews, Mike Goss and his wife, Zann, of Dothan, AL and Al Goss and his wife, Teresa, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one niece, Susan Carnell and her husband, Marty, of Wando, SC.
