James Edward Brown, 75, of Johns Island, South Carolina, husband of Sadie J. Rushton Brown entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 1, 2018. His Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 6, 2018 in Orange Grove Church, 952 Orange Grove Road at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.

James was born March 7, 1943 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late James Liston Brown and Mary Christine Biering Brown. He was a US Army Veteran and retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard. James loved fishing, and was an avid Nascar fan.He is survived by his wife, Sadie J. Brown of Johns Island, SC; four daughters; a son; two brothers; a sister; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren.
