James Paul Bishop

James Paul Bishop, 58, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Holly Johnson Bishop entered into eternal rest Wednesday, December 20, 2023. His Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.

James was born March 16, 1965 in Village of L'Anse, Michigan, son of the late Richard James Bishop and Eunice Janet Paavola Sten.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and enjoyed fishing and camping.  He enjoyed spending time with his wife and they did everything together.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Holly Johnson Bishop; three children: Joseph Allen Bishop of North Charleston, SC; Bridgette Renee Brodnicki of Goose Creek, SC and Michael John Hellyer of Ann Arbor, MI; two grandchildren, Mackinzie Casper Hellyer of Ann Arbor, MI and Dalton Levi Brodnicki of Goose Creek, SC; five siblings: Lori Lindemann (Brian) of Baraga, MI, Michael Bishop of Pelkie, MI, Daniel Bishop (Faye) of Hurontown, MI, Lucas Bishop of Gwinn, MI and Rigu Sten of Milwaukee, WI; many loved nieces, nephews and his service dog "Mocha". 

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard James Bishop; stepfather, Howard Sten and his stepsister, Wanda Sten.
