Barger
July 3, 1930 – November 21, 2025
James Barger, a proud veteran of the army, passed away on November 21st, 2025. He was born in Grove City, Pennsylvania to Ellis Hazard Barger and Louise Ellen Barger. He grew up in Monks Corner, South Carolina and attended Lafayette College.
He enlisted in the army at age 17 and served with valor, achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class. His service included the Korean War. He is survived by his wife Barbara Barger, and his sister Janet Barger, along with many family members and close friends.
His loved ones will remember him for his caring and serving of Veterans, hunting, taking care of his quail, and his special love for his dog Belle.
His visitation will be held on Sunday, November 30th from 3:00 to 6:00 pm in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel. His funeral service will be on Monday, December 1st at Seacoast Church, West Ashley at 10:00 am followed by military burial at Beaufort National Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
