James Garrard Anderson, 73, of Walterboro, SC, husband of Elsie Lucille Musick Anderson passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012. A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 1, 2012 in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens at 1:00 pm with military honors. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Born April 12, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Chester A. A. Anderson and the late Frances Garrard Anderson. Mr. Anderson was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps who served during the Korean War and retired as a Waterfront Executive in the shipping industry.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie M. Anderson of Walterboro, SC; four step-children, Earl Bevins and his wife, Susan, of Goose Creek, SC, Faith Conners and her husband, Bobby, of Richmond, VA, Donna K. Piling of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and C.W. Bevins of Moncks Corner, SC. He was preceded in death by a step-son, John Bevins.
