James "Steven" Albury, 68, of North Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Edna Garcia Albury entered into eternal rest Friday, October 9, 2020. His memorial service will be held Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Northwood Baptist Church, 2200 Greenridge Road at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends Friday, October 16, 2020 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Rd., North Charleston, SC 29406.
Steve was born August 7, 1952 in Miami, Florida, son of the late James R. Albury and Alzaria Bonnell Albury. He was a contractor and lead mechanic, working on Naval Ships and maintaining Marine Corps equipment. Steve proudly served his country in the United States Navy, serving from 1970 to 1985. He served in Italy, Guam and in the Philippines, from which he spent a stint in The Vietnam War. Steve was an avid fan of all things "Sci-Fi". He loved listening to music, was a big fan of Patsy Cline and Elvis Presley and never met a cold Budweiser he didn't like.
He is survived by his loving wife Edna of 13 years; his children; Zenife (Scott) Payton of Crestview, FL, Ana (Kory) Aschenbrenner of Niceville, FL, Shenandoah (Danielle) Albury of Royal Palm Beach, FL, James "Christofer" (Diana) Albury of Milton, FL, Leo Joel Garcia and Ruth Ann Garcia of Northern Mariana Island; grandchildren; Christain, Alyssa and Chloe Payton; Summer and Elias Aschenbrenner; Aiden, Ryleigh, Cadence and Tatum Albury; Abby, Ayesha, Rhianne and Lexine Garcia.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
