Jagdishch M. Patel, 74, of Summerville, South Carolina, husband of Ushaben M. Patel, entered into eternal rest Friday, August 29, 2025 while surrounded by his family.
Jagdishchandra was born June 13, 1951, in Gujarat, India, son of the late Madanbhai Chotabhai Patel and the late Shantaben Patel. He was a Chemical/Mechanical Engineer and Businessman.
He is survived by the love of his life, Ushaben Patel of Summerville, SC; his daughter, Jharana Patel of Gaithersburg, Maryland; his son, Amit Madan of Summerville, SC; daughter in law, Darshana Madan; granddaughter, Cooper Madan; brothers, Bhaskarbhai Patel, Narendrabhai Patel, Pravinbhai Patel, Kiritbhai Patel, Indravadanbhai Patel, and Ghanshyambhai Patel. He was preceded in death by his father Madanbhai C. Patel, his mother Shantaben Patel, his son Jagat Patel, and brother Prafulbhai Patel.
Jagdish arrived in the United States on May 27, 1973. The moment he saw Usha, he knew she was the one. The two started their journey in New Jersey in 1976. In 1989, they found their way to Walterboro, SC, where they lived until 1999. Since 1999, Jagdish has been a beloved community member of Summerville, SC. His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him for the way his life was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
His Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 4, 2025, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, SC, at 11:00 am.
