Jacob C. Hiers

Jacob Christian Hiers, 92, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Faye Hiers entered into eternal rest Monday, September 18, 2017. His funeral service will be Wednesday, September 20 at 2:00 p.m. in Cooper River Baptist Church, 1059 Crawford Street, North Charleston, with interment to follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens, 3345 S. Live Oak Dr., Moncks Corner, SC, 29461. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., North Area Chapel

Born on April 11, 1925, in Ehrhardt, SC, he was one of seven children of the late Jacob Christian Hiers and the late Lillie M. Hiers. He retired from Raybestos Manhattan where he worked as an accountant. He was a member of Cooper River Baptist Church and taught Sunday school. He was a former member of Holmes Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.

Jacob is survived by his wife of 40, years Faye Hiers and eight nieces and nephews.
