Jacob Epstein, 88, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Joyce Stimer Epstein died Saturday, May 9, 2015. All services will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.
Jacob was born February 17, 1927 in Jamaica Queens, New York, son of the late Harry Epstein and the late Mary Chernock Epstein. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and retired from the New York City Union. He and his wife were former residents of Port St. Lucie, Florida.
He is survived by three sons, Mark Epstein and his wife, Jeanne, of Calabash, NC, David Epstein and his wife, Jane, of Washington, DC, Robert "Bob" Alan Epstein and his wife, Ruthann, of Mount Pleasant, SC; one daughter, Beth Fidanza and her husband, Michael, of Middle Island, NY; his twin brother, Israel Epstein of Boynton Beach, FL; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Bob Epstein, and a sister, Dorothy Soshensky.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association SC Chapter 2090 Executive Hall Road, Suite 130 Charleston, SC 29407.
