Jackson was born June 21, 1994 in Charleston, South Carolina, to Richard T. and Polly Loadholt Moore. He grew up on Isle of Palms, graduated from Wando High School, and was a senior at the College of Charleston. An accomplished golfer, Jackson learned to love the game at an early age with his father and brother. He went on to many top-ten finishes as a junior golfer and was ranked as high as fifth in South Carolina. He was recruited by the College of Charleston, where he earned his first career start at The Invitational at The Ocean Course. At the College, Jackson played in 13 career tournaments, and his best finish was tied for 13th twice in 2013-14. Additionally he won back-to-back Bulls Bay Club Championships in 2014 and 2015.
Away from the golf course, Jackson loved spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, and playing sports, and could often be found outdoors or on the boat. Known by everyone to be kind and compassionate, he cared deeply for all those around him, who loved his fun and gentle spirit. He was always ready to help and quick to make you laugh. His quiet jokes and unforgettable smile were a gift to everyone close to him.
