Jackie Don Ready, 79, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Sandra Moorman Ready entered into eternal rest Friday, February 9, 2018. A Gathering of Friends will be held Sunday, February 11, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Jackie was born December 21, 1938 in Barnwell, South Carolina, son of the late Richard Ready and Janie Knotts Ready. He was a retired diesel mechanic with BP Oil Company.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandra; daughter, Denise MacKendrick of Summerville, SC; son, Joby Ready (Evelyn) of Charleston, SC; four grandchildren, Gray and Brenna McKendrick, Jack and Davis Ready. He was preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Ready.

The family would like to say thank you to Hospice of Charleston and to Archdale DCI Dialysis Clinic for their love and care.
