Jack Vernon Miller, 85, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 husband of his beloved wife, Mary Katherine Clemons Miller of nearly 63 years, she survived him by one day and passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026.

Born on July 22, 1941, in Powder Springs, Georgia, Jack was the son of the late Mason Jones Miller and Mary Emma Holbrook Miller. A dedicated engineer and entrepreneur, Jack had a passion for fishing and was an active member of Marietta First Methodist Church.

Jack leaves behind his sons, Jeffrey V. Miller (Eve) of Beaufort, SC, David Mason Miller (LaTise) and Todd William Miller (Jessica) both of Atlanta, GA, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Jackson Timothy Miller, Payton Miller, Katie Miller, and Maggie Miller. Jack is also survived by his brother, Wayne Miller (Linda) of Cary, NC; niece, Lauren Schafer (Andrew); nephew, Jay Miller (Rachel); and great-niece and nephew, Carson and Cole Schafer.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Marietta, Georgia, at a later date. Family and friends who wish to receive details as arrangements are finalized, are invited to provide their email addresses to the family.
